How to Import plant to Kenya?

Who are we?

We are Thailand plant Exporter, Orchid Grower and Laboratory. We have been exported plant to Kenya for more than 5 years. We can send the plant to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) by air cargo service. Plant import permit are required.

Register as an importer

Step 1: Apply to be an importer

Step 2: Obtain acknowledgment letter

Step 3: Request for training on import certification system

Step 4: Training on import certification system

Step 5: Register online with import certification system

Step 6: Obtain user credentials

Plant Import permit

It will be issued by Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS). For import plant and planting material to Kenya. Please see the step below:

Step 1: Obtain unique consignment reference (UCR)

Step 2: Apply for plant import permit

Step 3: Pay for plant import permit

Step 4: Obtain plant import permit
